Background Story: Willy rescued me not long after my husband of 39 years died. Not only did he bring joy back into my life, but as a therapy dog, he brings joy to the patients he visits. When we go to the hospital, he immediately knows he is working. He puts on his best behavior and gives each patient the love they crave. There is never a working day that goes by in which he doesn’t bring tears to the eyes of a patient—tears of joy and comfort.
